my bp were 130/95, took stablon (tianepetine), gerd and ibs pills and went to sleep, woke up to bad tinnitus in ears after 3 hours and couple of pvc's, sugar 103 and bp 100/70 am i fine?

No: You are on many medications and one can't be sure as to which may or may not be causing your symptoms or whether there is a drug interaction issue. I am surprised that you don't feel weak or dizzy with such a rapid drop in BP which is likely too low for you. Call doctor ASAP

why do both my elbows ache&joints in hands.no injury/overuse.under a lot of stress.can that make hands swell too?should i get cortisol checked?have other symptoms my dr thinks are caused by stress to eg visual disturbances headache, gerd tinnitus?

: It is not feasible to provide an opinion without additional history, physical examination may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor to see if you may be depressed. Depression is treatable. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Wish you good health!

i have hypertension and on 50mg. losartan. it does keep my bp in a manageable level. however i also have hiatus hernia and gerd. i now have tinnitus thumping heartbeat all the time i also have palpitations and heart flutters ?

: If you have palpitations and heart flutters, please seek immediate care for further evaluation.  Do not stop the medication without speaking to your doctor first.  A hiatal hernia can cause symptoms of GERD, but are not usually related to hypertension or palpitations.

when i open my mouth i see slight movement in my soft palate at times not the uvula. ent said everyone has movement when opening mouth holding open? is that true? i have tinnitus and i do get clicking sometimes. scopes are normal. have gerd/tmj too?

: Movement of the soft palate is quite normal. Your ENT is correct.

audible bubble/pop noise in ears and throat/esophagus for the past few weeks. saw ent he didn't say much. i suffer from tinnitus and gerd and my gerd is bad right now and my scope was good except it showed cobblestone throat& lpr. can gerd cause this?

: Laryngopharyngeal reflux is different from gerd. Sometimes gerd type measures and treatment help symptoms, but in my experience 
they usually don't.  You could get a second opinion at a department of otolaryngology at a university hospital near you.

clicks in ear/throat off and on since nov, went away came back 2 weeks ago daily off and on. i have bfs,tinnitus,tmj,gerd and etd. someone said palatal myoclonus on here? i have an ent and neuromuscular dr. scopes/exam normal. what else could this be?

pulsatile tinnitus before and during my period. angio ct, brain mr, spinal tap are all normal. the same pt manifests sometimes itself after a meal. could my tmj or gerd be the cause of this pt? if so, what can be the link with the menstrual cycle ?

: Hormone fluctuations around your period could plausibly be a trigger for the PT. A trial with the birth control pill to suppress your cycles and see if that helps could be a considered.

Quite a few symptoms: Gastroesophageal reflux disease=acid from stomach refluxing into esophagus/mouth causing symptoms such as acid/sour taste in mouth, chest pain/heartburn, indigestion/dyspepsia, biter taste if bile comes up, sorethroat/hoarseness, coughing--symptoms often worse with spicey, fatty foods, alcohol, mint, caffeine etc...Everyone refluxes a bit; too much =gerd. Consult doc. Good luck.

GERD duration: Some people are cured of their GERD with changes in weight, diet, medications, etc.  It may last a long time, it may be affected by certain conditions, but no, GERD is not permanent.  It is in a sense curable.

is gerd dangerous?

Accepted Answer

Unlikely: Gerd is potentially dangerous if it causes damage to the esophagus, and the esophagus heals in a fashion that changes the normal esophageal cells to small inestimal cells. If these new cells become abnormal, they have a small chance to become cancerous years down the road. The damage can also heal so much it narrows the esophagus. Both however are very unlikely, but unpredictable.
