i have gall stones and sludge. what causes gall stones, iwas told sweets and spicy foods is that true?

Not quite...: Most stones in america are cholesterol-based, & develop due to genetic, systemic, and local factors that promote crystals precipitating in bile  (sludge) that gradually increase in size (gallstones). Sweets and spicy foods have really nothing to do with this process. On occasion, stones can be formed by blood break-down (black pigment) or infection (brown pigment). Many stones are not symptomatic.

Many causes: When bile chemical composition (cholesterol, calcium bilirubinate, calcium carbonate) in the gallbladder gets out of balance, gallstones can form. While its not completely clear why some develop the chemical imbalance, we do know that gallstones are more common in obese people, women (especially oral contraceptives/hormone replacement), high fat intake, diabetes, rapid weight loss - to name a few.

Gallstones: are not caused by diabetes or elevated blood cholesterol levels, but by imbalance of phospholipids, bile salts, and cholesterol content in bile.  If you have gallstones and diabetes, some surgeons recommend cholecystectomy even when you have little or no pain, because diabetes can cause inability to feel the pain.  Consult  a surgeon for specific recommendation in your case.

Generally not: But I do not know what bowel issues you mean. Gallstone symptoms are usually upper abdominal discomfort and nausea a few hours after eating. Sometimes vomiting. Usually bowel function is normal. Diarrhea or constipatuon isuues are generally not related to gallstones.

No: Gallstones have no relationship whatsoever to the urinary tract. It is possible to get kidney stones or bladder stones, however, which can contribute to the formation of UTIs. If you have recurrent UTIs, it is wise to be evaluated by your doctor, who may refer you to a urologist if you are found to have stones in the urinary tract. Good luck.

No: The gallbladder is located much too deep and gallstones would be too small to be able to feel from the exterior. Only if the gallbladder is severely enlarged and the person is extremely thin, then maybe a painfully swollen gallbladder could be felt as a lump or mass.

Lower right abdomina: Pain is most often acute appendicitis or kidney stone. Right upper quadrant could be gall bladder issues.

: gall stones do not cause narrowing of the bile duct. Inflammation and stone in bile duct other causes do.

can omeprozole cause stomach upset gas and loose stools. doctor prescribed for gerd symptoms but actually feel worse . did not have stomach upset or gas and loose stools. with other symptoms. also, found out i have gall stones after ultrasound ?
