Hard to say: May be too early to see callus, nonunion, etc. X-ray findings need to be correlated with history and physical exam, preferably by an orthopedic surgeon. There is no shortcut to this.

Swelling from break: The fracture causes inflammation, which impedes the normal flow of lymph from the hand to the arm and then into the central veins. Because of this slowdown, your fingers are a little swollen and feel stiff.

Elevating your arm, which gives the flow a boost from gravity, might help.

This is temporary, don't worry.

Yes : As i told you before  it would be best if this were treated operatively 
but yes it will most probably heal but with some loss of function/ length / motion ect
also check vit d level as if it is low then healing will be negatively impacted.

Pain and x-rays: The 2 primary indicators of fracture healing are resolution of pain and x-rays.  If your pain is improving or gone then that's usually an excellent indication that the fracture is healing or healed.  X-rays are used to confirm fracture healing as well.

See an orthopaedist: Adults do not usually do better with reduction of the injury you describe. It might heal, but you would probably lose function (muscle strength, mobility to position your hand). See an orthopaedic surgeon that cares for upper extremity (arm) trauma.

what is the best treatment for a distal radius fracture?

Fracture: It all depends upon the severity of the fracture and if there's any displacement. A fiberglass cast or potentially a splint will be sufficient treatment. It should be healed within 3 to 4 weeks at which time therapy can begin. You might be converted from a splint into a brace for additional protection at some point along the way. Be sure you are evaluated by a physician. Best of luck!

Pretty early: 6-8 wks.4 a good start on healing depending on the location of the fracture. With no callus formation i would seek another opinion.B very careful in the meantime.

Depends but: Typically most fracture heal in about 3 months but may continue remodelling for up to a year. After three months most fractures are healed to the point where there are no restrictions. That is also true for compound fractures but it depends on their severity.
