Best to supplement: Trace amounts of the cyanocobalamin form of B12 can be found added to cereals, non-dairy milks, meat substitutes and one type of Red Star Yeast. But it may not be enough and our bodies have to convert it to methylcobalamin, which some people do poorly. Why not take 1000 mcg of methylcobalamin? Even doing that a 2 or 3  times a week should insure you get adequate B12.

Top folic acid foods are fortified cereals/lentils/spinach/broccoli/white beans/asparagus/cantaloupe/eggs. As for zinc: again fortified cereals and pasta, back to oysters. Statistically, most Americans get zinc from red meat and poultry.
