No easy remedy: Arthritis of the hip describes that gradual wearing of the articular cartilage in the hip joint.  Unfortunately, there is no easy "remedy".  Conservative treatment options include physical therapy, oral or topical nsaid's, glucosamine=type supplements, cortisone injections, and activity modifications.  Total hip replacement would be indicated for severe arthritis with severe pain.

Pinched nerve: Sounds like a pinched or irritated nerve that is not getting better.  I would consult a doctor - an Urgent Care or your Family Doctor.

Bone marrow harvest: A standard bone marrow biopsy test involves 1 or 2 needle insertions into the iliac crest  bone.
Depending on the size of the recipient and how many cells are needed it can be from approximately 20-50 needle insertions on each side for a bone marrow harvest/donation.

Numbness : This may represent a pinched nerve at our hip/ belt level or herniated disc on back.  If not getting better with ice and anti inflammatory i would recommend you see your physician.

Sciatic nerve: Tingling from the hip down to the toes is related to your sciatic nerve or the nerve roots  in your lower back until proven other wise.  

Spinal nerve compression, piriformis syndrome, or other sciatic nerve compression are possibilities.  Rarely, another nerve could be involved, but start with the above and work backward if nothing found.

my left hip tingles like it has pins and needles. its not usually painful but it is annoying and irritating. this has been happening on and off for a few years. usually its just when i lay on my side, but lately its been happening more often.

Nerve compression: or inflammation ( neuritis ) has many diffenet casues. I would suggest a full exam and  studies ( MRI ) of your lumbo-sacral spine, with x-rays.

A neurologist: Found through your family doc would be a good person to answer this question.  I see that you also have back pain and headache.  There may be a neurological/nerve condition present.  Your doc can identify it and treat you.  Peace and good health.

Have it looked at.: Could be many things, but there is a probable nerve involvement. Have it looked at.

Why pins - previous: Are the pins present because of previous surgery. Is the total hip to replace a previous fracture that has been pinned? I would discuss this with your physician and get this explained immediately. I make this recommendation also because  I would need more information to help explain your  problem. Speak with your  physician.

Deep vein thrombo: phlebitis is a difficult clinical diagnosis and usually requires a duplex study to make sure.  You should see a doctor to be sure.
