i am 31,on cycle for 18 days, usually up to 10 days max. er found a fluid filled cyst inside my uterus via ultrasound. i have had a tubal ligation and preg. test neg by blood test, should i be worried? i have hx of cervical cancer, and im worried?

: If you are sexually active, cervical inflammation or malignancy can cause extended bleeding.  See your GYN physician for an exam and repeat Pap smear, and guidance.

Retrouterine fluid ?: With a history of "multiple cysts" in the ovaries, fluid detection on U/S is most likely due to spontaneous rupture of one or more cysts, and is not dependent on the day of your cycle.  Without fever, pelvic pain or other signs of infection/inflammation, the fluid seen on ultrasound is benign and of little significance.

what can small amount of free fluid behind uterus seen on two different u/s mean? they have been done on day 10 of cycle. they see multiple cysts on each ovary. is it normal to see fluid behind uterus on this day of cycle? shouldn't it be gone?

Fluid: It takes a while for fluid from a likely ruptured cyst to absorb. It does not sound concerning especially if they think it is coming from a cyst.

Uterine fluid.: There shouldn't be much fluid within the uterus.  If both the tubes and the cervix are open, there shouldn't be any place for fluid to build up and remain. It can happen if the tubes are blocked, if you had surgery and the cervix is obstructed, if you have fibroids that block the cervix, or if you had surgery to remove the lining. You should be evaluated by your doctor.

i'm 31. does some fluid behind uterus mean anything concerning? i have a simple paraovarian cyst. is there any connection between the two findings?

Paraovarian cyst: Paraovarian cyst are not uncommon in the reproductive age period.  Mostly benign rarely malignant. Followed to check for increase in size- larger cysts can rupture /twisting cause  pain. Fluid behind  uterus is also common seen mid cycle , ruptured follicles occasionally infection/ pathology . Dont worry . F/u  w/ Gyn.

Para-ovarian cysts: Either ovarian cysts or para-ovarian cysts will release fluid when ruptured, and one of either would produce "fluid behind the uterus", which is harmless. You may have experienced sharp pain just before getting the ultrasound which showed "fluid", which may have been the ruptured cyst which produced the liquid.

why do i have a bulky uterus right ovary cysts and a scanty fluid in my endormidrium  after an abortion ?

Different reasosn: The "scanty fluid in endometrium" makes sense right after an abortion, the ovarian cysts may or may not be due to having been pregnant but having nothing at all to do with the abortion, if your uterus is bulky it has been bulky for some years, that didn't just happen. been to dr & they found fluid behind uterus. said it could be ovarian cysts causing pain, but now i have pain in groin sometimes. should i be worried?

Probably ok: Once you ovulate, the fluid can be seen on ultrasound. The fluid can cause pain in your pelvis. If this the cause of the pain, it can take a couple of weeks to clear. Follow up with your doctor if the pain worsens.

last weeks ultrasounds showed left ovarian cyst and fluid in uterus. no right ovary was visualized and i don't think it was the 2 times prior in 2013. should i be concerned?

Ultrasounds: Ovaries can be difficult to identify if there is a good amount of inflammation in the area, gas, fluid, etc.  They tend to blend in to their surroundings, unless you have a really good ultrasound machine.  Next time you go in, ask the tech to identify the ovary for you, and you'll see what I mean; in some cases it is very subtle.  I would discuss with your doctor.  Good luck!

my us revealed fluid in the endo canal, complex hypoechoic area in uterus, and cyst on rt ovary. symptoms...ahmenorria, abd pain,  weigh loss 20lbs?

Obgyn follow up: Radiology studies must be interpreted in the proper clinical context. Schedule follow up with the ordering physician to evaluate your report. The size and type of ovarian cyst will be important. Ask for clarification on the complex hypo echoic area in the uterus. It sounds like they are describing a fibroid but you will need to confirm this with your doctor.
