index finger twitch is contingent on wrist flexion and/or tightly gripping hand. rarely happens with "normal" use of hand. what nerve is implicated, and will it go away in time?

: In your case this appears to be a harmless nuisance rather than indicative of a neurological disorder like Parkinson's disease,ALS,etc. Apparently those maneuvers cause irritability of the median nerve or its branch leading to your index finger as you don't experience this symptom on other occasions. A neurologist or a hand specialist can advise you further if you still have concerns.

i have symptoms of cubital tunnel syndrome (numbness and tingling of pinky and ring finger anytime i lean on my arm at all or hold my phone for a while) but they dont reproduce with tests such as the elbow flexion test. could it be something else?

: Yes, you do have symptoms in an ulnar nerve distribution, but there are several sites of potential nerve compression, from the brachial plexus in the shoulder, down the arm.  "Elbow flexion test" by the way is worthless.  An EMG study would likely clarify the situation and establish the location of the problem.

had lhermitte's sign for a month. mri of brain & c spine normal. affects little fingers, trunk & inner thigh on neck flexion. if not ms, what is this?

Many things: Including transverse myelitis, behcet's disease, and medication.. You're obviously seeing doctors for this already, and just need to continue the neurology work up.

there are no fractures seen on my right hand little finger. no periosteal new bone formation, no joint subluxation. there is flexion deformity of the dip joint of the little finger. no soft tissue abnormality is demonstrated. what do i do?

Trigger finger: best treated by orthopedic exam and possible injection of the flexor tendons of the DIP joiint or surgical release of the entrapped tendon.

she appears cachectic & had wasting of her right apb, with reduced power rt finger abduction, as well as in her in left hip flexion. her tone was normal, reflexes were depressed and absent in the ankles with downgoing plantars what does this mean??

: First, the best way to interpret this is to inquire directly from the physician involved.  Cachexia is chronic wasting and loss of bodily bulk.  Mentioned are focal muscular problems in the right hand and left hip.  The reflexes suggest peripheral neuropathy.  But all of this needs clinical correlation.  If this is you, or a relative, don't you have a right to further understanding?

i have a growth on my finger that started about 2 months ago. i have cut it off 3 times and it keeps growing back.can i get medication to deal with it or will it need a procedure ?

Finger growth:  May be a wart or another type of lesion -fibroma, Is it dark or flesh colored? If dark my rarely be melanoma ,very rarely a merkels cell(red or purple)   I would follow up with  dermatologist to have it biopsied and removed.

good morning i have small glands forming on my right finger it havent affected my writing yet but it itches and sometimes pain.is there perhaps a medication i can purchase to stop the glands from forming?

Nodes: If these knob like structures are located on either side of the joint just under the fingernail, these are probably Heberden's nodes which are tiny bony spurs indicative of( wear and tear) osteoarthritis of that joint. These tend to run in families. An anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen or naproxen may reduce pain in the affected joint. These nodes may form on other fingers in the future

what is the best medication to alleviate finger pain?

Various: You must first find out what is causing it. If it is arthritis, your physician may prescribe something like tylenol (acetaminophen) or alleve. If it is from gout another drug may be necessary. If you are a diabetic and it may be neuropathic pain, and a different drug may be necessary. As you can see, you must first find out what is causing the pain.

Trigger finger: If caught within 2 months if the onset of symptoms there is a good chance a cortisone injection can relieve symptoms.   Surgical treatment is available.  I would consult with a local hand surgeon to discuss these options.

Unpredictable: One of the reasons that there are so many people who think they know home remedies for warts is that they seem to respond to many things (or not).  There is little predictability.  Go get it seen by a professional.
