??mole or skintag ??: Sounds like it could be a mole or a skin tag. If it is been there for several years it is probably benign. I would have your family doctor check it out. Especially if there been any changes recently… Color, size, itching, bleeding

i have a soft tissue lump on the side of my head just above my left hear to the front. not to painfull unless i touch it. no red in colour. any ideas?

Hard or fatty?: A hard lump could be a small fibroma. A fatty lump would not be hard. This would be a lipoma. Both are usually benign but to be sure you need an exam. Get it checked out so you can stop worrying about it.Hope this helps.

had biopsy result of lump in post nasal space. the result said consistent with adenoide tissue. what does this mean? is it cancer?

No...: From what you have described, there is no mention of cancer.  Adenoids are a normal part of the body (which can get enlarged).  They are a mass of lymphatic tissue situated posterior to the nasal cavity, in the roof of the nasopharynx, where the nose blends into the throat.  This fragment of the report looks fine, but talk to the doctor who did the procedure to confirm that everything looked good.

Simple vs serious: Our bodies always have things that grow and change. Skin, fat, muscle, lymph nodes,  bones, can change shape, get larger, more prominent due to many factors. The vast majority are not cancer but simply unusual growths like fatty tumors, cysts, skin tags, moles, etc.  Most cause no symptoms and can be watched.  If they cause symptoms or change colors, bleed, bruise or hurt, then see your doctor.

See your doctor: This problem can only be solved by seeing your doctor and being evaluated face-to-face.  After a thorough examination, your doctor should be able to tell you what's wrong and what to do about it.

Zit?: Likely a pimple, boil, or infected hair follicle or oil gland.  Apply warm compresses to it for 20 minutes 4-6 times a day. Don't pop it and it might drain on its own.  If it gets worse, really painful, spreading redness or you run a fever, please get seen right away. Facial infections can spread rapidly and be very dangerous.  Since this is summer, if it itches, could be a bug bite, too!

my 10 yr had an impact to the nose 2 weeks ago, dr said not broken but she is now left with a lump on right side. dr said nothing to worry.will it go.?

Nasal injury: Not sure what doc did to examine. An xray is not always conclusive for fracture, so good exam inside and out is necessary. Many displaced nasal fractures are missed as "lumps" when in fact the nasal bone and/or septum has been displaced. But many nasal fractures, displaced or not, are left to heal and repaired later, rather than injuring the injured nose further..

Vestibulitis: The most common cause of a painful red lump on the inside of the nose is vestibulitis, which is an infection of the hair follicles of the inside skin of the nose where the hairs grow.  The treatment is oral antibiotics, an antibiotic cream and careful cleaning.  This should be examined by an ENT doctor.
