Vestibulitis: The most common cause of a painful red lump on the inside of the nose is vestibulitis, which is an infection of the hair follicles of the inside skin of the nose where the hairs grow. The treatment is oral antibiotics, an antibiotic cream and careful cleaning. This should be examined by an ENT doctor.
