Why taking?: The real questions is why are you taking them in the first place? You would be better off getting your fish oil from wild salmon for a number of reasons including vitamin d, healthy saturated fat, astaxanthin, etc. Grape seed extract can be found in grapes.  You need these products if you eat right. As to your specific question, any time of day is fine, but earlier is better.

Don't stop plavix!: First, check with your doctor who prescribes the plavix (clopidogrel) for you. If it is being taken for a heart stent that was placed less than a year ago, you CANNOT stop the plavix (clopidogrel) for any reason. Also, be very cautious about using ANY other supplements along with your prescription medicines, especially other blood thinners. Be sure your doctor knows exactly what you are taking, including supplements.

i had my gallbladder removed about five years ago. i read that taking fish oil can actually damage your liver and create stones in the biliary duct. would it not be wise to take 1,000 mg. of fish oil if i dont have a gallbladder?

: There is no evidence that taking fish oil makes a person live healthier or longer.  Move to a low sodium/high potassium diet called the DASH diet which has over 1,500 pubs you can read at pubmed.com and make some decisions you self. It will likely decrease you risk of brain, heart and kidney problems in the future.

Not at all: This is totally safe, a bit like having pumpkin pie after eating fish. While both fish oil and pumpkin seed oil are good sources of omega 3 fatty acids, pumpkin seed oil contains omega 6 and other fatty acids not found in fish oil, so taking them together would give you a better balance of fatty acids.

Fish Oil: Fish oil does not need to be converted in the body to obtain the beneficial omega-3 fatty acids but flax seed does so fish oil would be the better supplement. My best.
