IT varies: It depends on the location of the implant and whether it has a tooth on it or not. Definitely not in the first  two weeks to minimize the chance of infection, but the most critical thing is to prevent it from being subjected to trauma.

Quite different: A veneer is a thin covering that is placed on the outer surface of a natural tooth to change the appearance of that tooth. A dental implant is a titanium screw that is surgically placed into your jawbone to replace a missing tooth.

Summary here.: When a dental implant is placed, the area is numbed and possible IV sedation used. At the implant site, the gums are laid back, exposing the bone, allowing a cylindrical slot to be placed in the bone. The titanium implant is placed and the gums sutured closed over the site. There are other procedures that sometimes may be done at the same time or before such as bone augmentation. Ask your dentist.

Smoking and implants: Bad idea, in general. Certainly, within the first 7-10 days after any oral surgery, you should not smoke to avoid problems with wound healing. After that, studies suggest that smoking may adversely affect implant integration with the bone, so the implant could fail. That said, in the long term, data regarding smoking and dental implants is controversial.

my dental implant failed, how long till i can get one in the same spot?

Depends: Depends on many factors. Often at our implant center (by design dental implant center) we are able to place another one at the time of removal. If the site still has sufficient bone and all infection is removed then it is possible, especially if the site will allow a larger diameter implant to engage new bone. Otherwise, clean out, graft, wait 3 months, place new implant. Discuss with surgeon.

Hard to say: Your question needs to be answered by a dentist who can actually examine you, see which teeth are present, and advise you of your options. Call a local dentist for an appointment.

Possibly: If the implant is solid then the doctor who placed it can try to eliminate the infection and rebuild the lost bone
if it is loose, then the implant will have to be removed the bone rebuilt and the implant replaced.

Just like a tooth: Implants must be kept clean, just like a natural tooth, or you can get gum disease around the implant.  e careful not to overload the area as the implant is integrating.  Ask your Dentist for advice.
