Summary here.: When a dental implant is placed, the area is numbed and possible IV sedation used. At the implant site, the gums are laid back, exposing the bone, allowing a cylindrical slot to be placed in the bone. The titanium implant is placed and the gums sutured closed over the site. There are other procedures that sometimes may be done at the same time or before such as bone augmentation. Ask your dentist.

Place dental implant: Yes. Before a dental implant is placed, much planning is done. A 3D image is taken to show how much and where the bone is located to hold the implant in. A guide is made with a computer to accurately place the implant in the bone. The surgery is very straight forward and efficient. You are numbed up, the DR opens the gum slightly. The guide assists making the hole in the bone. The implant is placed

Sure: Typically:1. the anesthesia is placed to get the area numb, 2.The tissue is reflected to reveal the bone, 3. A sequence of special drills are used to prepare the bone , 4 the implant is placed, a cover screw or abutment is connected, 5.the tissue is sutured back , 6.a temporary tooth might be made on the abutment. Then you heal for about 100 days. Then the final restoration can be made.Good Luck.
