They look different: The best way is to collect what you think is a worm and let it be seen by a physician, who should have no difficulty in deterring the difference. U can use spatula or tongue depressor to collect specimen  from the toilet into a small plastic container.

Consider that your diet throughout the day may be too low in fiber otherwise.

Depends: Metamucil's main ingredient is psyllium husk, a natural plant fiber that is a source of soluble and insoluble fiber. The soluble fiber creates a viscous gel as it travels through the GI tract. The insoluble fiber moves through intact.  So hopefully the white worms are just husk remnants. If not go see your Doctor for stool cultures Ova and parasites x 3.

BM frequency: Bowel movements may occur, and be considered normal, anywhere from three times a day to three per week. You should see a gastroenterologist to be sure there is nothing causing a blockage. If all's clear, you may need to do bowel retraining to help decrease your dependence on medication. If you have chronic constipation, there are medications that need to be monitored, but may help
