A 54-year-old female asked about a 29-year-old female:

If soluble fiber slows digestion does this mean slower bm as well? as in would you still poop daily?

Soluble fiber: Generally not! Soluble fiber, found in nuts, seeds, beans, lentils and peas, absorbs water and helps stool pass more smoothly. Fiber, both insoluble and soluble, will generally help to form more regular bowel patterns.
