99.99%: There is no test which is always 100% accurate thus I would give the chance of a CT missing a bone cancer to be less than 0.01%.

May or may not: CAT scan is very accurate to detect any growths inside our body but it will only pick up growths that are 1cm or larger. The only reason to do a CT scan would be if you have any indication /symptoms that make tumor is a possible cause. Your doctor will need to check you first and determine if the CAT is needed or not indicated if you have NO symptoms.

Check the report.: If the tumor was really only 5 millimeters, it is probably nothing to worry about; however, I am guessing it was actually 5-6 centimeters.  If that's the case, then the first step is to have blood tests done to determine if it is a functioning tumor, meaning does it secrete high amounts of adrenal hormones.  Even if it does not, there are some ct features that favor removal at this size.

Yes - helpfull.: A pet scan uses an injection of radioactive sugar. It will not work if a patients blood sugar above 200. It will be taken up in most malignancies and persists, whereas normal tissue gets rid of it and remains negative on the scan. If your mass in tghe chest is positive, you may need a biopsy.

Hard to answer: Ideally the answer is yes- however- only if the biopsy can be done. Sometimes, a ct guided biopsy can't be done- when the location is very difficult to reach for instance- due to the proximity to other important organ or great vessels -like here in your case. Then, in that case, you should possibly see a cardiothoracic surgeon to have an open biopsy arranged. Pet scan should be considered.

Yes: Contrast dye helps to show the vascularity and fluid areas however a normal ct will show tumors and areas of infection.

Perhaps of interest: Cat scans are good screening tests for large significant lesions, but do a mediocre job at best for ms lesions, and very early small tumors.  Maybe your problem does not involve  ms or tumor, but discuss this with your doctor and share as to what problems he thinks you may have.  Mri films are perhaps a better way to check for smaller inflammatory lesions.

No: You are no more risk for brain tumor now than you were before you had the CAT scan.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.  Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless.
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

Do you have one?: You know, it’s remarkable how many young people post questions here about CT and MRI scans and brain tumors with never an explanation of why they’re interested. I wonder why they’re all so curious. They must be worried about SOMETHING. It depends on the type, size and location of the tumor, and whether the scan is properly configured to screen for tumors.

recently i had a sinus cat scan. on the report i noticed that the radiologist remarked 'brain looks ok'.  would a sinus scan show brain tumors?

It could: We have several sinuses in the head.  Depending on which sinuses were imaged a brain tumor could be visualized if one were present in the captured field of view.
