May or may not: CAT scan is very accurate to detect any growths inside our body but it will only pick up growths that are 1cm or larger. The only reason to do a CT scan would be if you have any indication /symptoms that make tumor is a possible cause. Your doctor will need to check you first and determine if the CAT is needed or not indicated if you have NO symptoms.

Not now: If a CAT scan was performed 5 yrs. ago at age 20 the rationale must have been presented even though no findings noted. At 25 y.o. if there are no symptoms and one does not have a congenital disorder such as familial polyposis that could lead to almost routine development of bowel lesions, one does not need a routine scan but rather a good physical exam.
