: Any healthy weight loss program limits weight loss to no more that 2-3 pounds per week. More than this and you run the risk of causing hormonal fluctuations that will actually make you more hungry, and activate compensatory mechanisms that will actually prevent weight loss. Slow and steady, using increased exercise to build muscle and eating healthy foods is the way to do it.

my hair's thick and full. no one in my family has hair lost problems. i have stopped eating fruits/vegetables. can that lead to hair lose eventually?

May be: Eating fruit and vegetables is good for your health. A full head of hair is not going to do you much good if are in poor health and fat due to poor diet. Please eat a mixed diet with vegetables, fruits, nuts, legumes, beans, and whole grains; low in saturated fats. Refrain from tobacco and alcohol. Exercise about 150 minutes/week.

Good start!: A good healthy diet involving fruits and vegetables are important for weight loss. Additionally I would recommend daily exercise to help lose weight and burn off fat. I typically recommend 30 minutes of activity daily.

i had a four hour gastric emptying study that came out normal. i am still regurgitating undigested raw fruits and vegetables from 4-9 hours later. some are: popcorn, green beans, pears, cucumber, blueberries, high fat food... what's wrong then?

: If those regurgitated foods seem undigested, esophageal diverticulum may need to be ruled out by upper endoscopy or barium swallowing. However, if you have history of severe type I diabetic mellitus or systemic sclerosis, that regurgitated symptom may occur once in a while even with a normal gastric emptying test.

No: No, fat free milk does not contain any fat. Some examples of sources of good fat are nuts, seeds, avocados, fish, and olive oil.

Avoid Fat Free: Yes. If they label this then there are laws. But, remember this is the worst products to buy in stores. Fat is not the cause of the obesity epidemic we have.  Sugar is the demon.  Fat free products are often stuffed full of sugars, especially concentrated fructose corn syrup. This one product is the biggest cause of our failure to really lose weight with dieting and a cause of the diabetes epidemi.

my family consumes butter which is 99% fat free and also mayoniese which is also the same. is it good for a person with ldl  to consume everyday?why?

Inconsistent data: Butter cannot be 99% fat free and be butter. We all have ldl. To have a healthy diet, make it rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts; low in saturated fats including butter and mayonnaise; no tobacco, and not more than one drink a day. Exercise at least 30 minutes each day.

have eaten sometimes 6oz fat free yoplait yogurt(90calories).it has sucralose.sucra.can cause many health problms.can i get them by eating thisyogurt?

Sucralose: New studies have been published indicating that people who drink at least one diet soda per day have 3 fold risk for having dementia or stroke. Sucralose was one of the sweeteners on the list. I would not worry about having eaten one yogurt.

No: You need at least 3-5% of your fat as long chained triglycerides to absorb the fat soluble vitamins a, d, e, and k. Without absorbing these vitamins you can get vitamin deficiencies and night blindness ( vitamin a deficiency), rickets, from ( vitamin d deficiency) and irreversible neurological deficiency from lack of vitamin e and bruising and bleeding from vitamin k deficiency.
