Close enough: As a former weight watcher's member, i calculated that one point is roughly equal to 50 calories, so staying within the number of points allotted will keep your calorie count low enough to achieve goal slowly but eventually.

It depends: If you would like to do a low fat, low carb, high fiber diet, i'm assuming you'll be taking high protein as well. Then, make sure you take at least 60-70 grams or lean protein per day, less than 50 grams of carbs (fiber does not count), and keep the fat below 20 grams, all from fish or plant based. Three meals and two snacks daily. Another option if you don't want to do high protein is ornish diet.

Easy: Exercise you do already.

Switch your diet to veg, salad, fruit and fish at least twice weekly. No pasta, rice, potatoes, bread. And your switch will work. I have seen docs lose more than 100 pounds with the switch. Melatonin often helps for sleep.

No: The best program is the one that you can stick with and change behavior. Tips: make half your meal vegetables and fruits. Go for variety. And keep in mind that potatoes and french fries dont count. choose whole grains & limit refined grains. pick the healthiest sources of protein. Drink lots of water. Stay active.

Yes.: Virtually any weight loss program will result in weight loss for someone who is morbidly obese over the short term.  This could include something as easy as tracking calories, walking more or as elaborate as getting a personal trainer/chef or joining a health club or weight watchers program.  The most important thing to consider is whether the weight loss will be sustainable over the long run.

Very effective: if you follow the program.  You can have tremendous success and you do not have to buy any special foods or products.  You can eat regular ordinary nutritious and delicious food.  They teach good eating habits, better food choices, portion control.  Many find the group support at meetings essential.  Good luck.
