i have multiple solid nodules on thyroid and in my lungs. i also have a mass on my ovary and enlarged lymph nodes and spleen. what could this be?

Sounds very: concerning, you should discuss these findings with your doctor, to be sure.  Testing/biopsy if masses would seem appropriate, all could be related or from separate problems. If all same source this would be very concerning for malignancy.

pain in armpit and under boob, could this be breast cancer? i'm only 18 but have a size d chest that grew really fast- which increases my risk. should i be worried? its consistent. i also felt lump under boob which is not size, not sure if it was tho?

: Breast cancer is highly unlikely. Your symptoms are likely due to rapid growth of breasts. You may watch and wait. If the symptoms do not get better or get worse, it would be prudent to see your doctor.

my baby has little lump is his neck.is it the sign of lungs problem, please help?

Lymph Nodes: Lymph nodes are soft bumps like tiny bb's that have chains throughout our body. They are there to protect that particular area. The lump is only noteworthy if other symptoms like persistent fever, cough/congestion is worsening. If the lump is larger than a penny, red, hot & swollen-seek medical attention. Most will take up to 6 weeks to resolve! the lump is deemed to be "reactive" & not a problem.

does pnemonia show up as a mass on lungs?

Not usually: Pneumonia itself does not usually appear as a mass on an xray. However, those that have a mass in their lungs, can develop an infection on top of that so it can definitely appear that way. It is always best to have a repeat chest x ray after you have been treated for pneumonia to make sure there is no underlying mass.

Pathology photos: A lung cancer in a lung is usually a dominant mass and usually white, though it may be more subtle. The black is simply from the smoke that's accumulated over the years. The blackness in the lungs frightens people, and rightly so, but it is actually more of a marker for other damage caused by smoke than a problem by itself.

Possibilities: I would really need to see the x-ray &amp; more information to begin the process. Some forms of pneumonia can look like a mas. The thymus, a normal part of the immune system can appear on as a mas. Cystic changes in the lungs, enlarged lymph nodes or other abnormal growths (cancer) would be other possibilities.

i have a three centimetre lump in my lungs  one opinion is a lymph node and other opinion  it was a mass. should i be pushing for a complete diagnosis?

Needs work up: You first need to find out if it is in fact a lung mass or a lymph node. Chest CT is a good test for that. Clinical correlation and of smoking history is also significant. See a lung doctor please.

can lumps of bladder cancer that have spread to my lungs be removed with surgery?

No: From a surgical perspective, they can be removed.  However, in reality this is not an option as the cancer has spread to the lynmph nodes outside of the pelvis.  At this point, surgery is no longer an option but rather chemotherapy is the mainstay of treatment to help kill and treat the cancer.

Many: Fungi like candida, blastomyces, coccidioidomycoses or paracocci can all cause infiltrates or processes that look like masses. Tb itself can cause a mass-like effect of tuberculoma and even pneumonia can cause mass like infiltrates and a scar later that involutes to look like a mass. Parasites do too. So we have to rely on symptoms, risks and the work up to make diagnoses.

Absolutely: A mass in the lung can irritate the lining of the lung, also called the pleura. This can either cause a charp pain in the chest called pleuritic pain or alternatively, a mass can press against the lining of the airway which will cause an irritation and a cough. Usually the cough will be dry to distinguish from bronchitis, although this is not always true depending on the level of obstruction.
