what is the difference in contrast enhancing lesion and contrast enhancing nodule in brain mri report of ms patient?

Very little: The nodule may be the lesion referred to in the report. Would need to know more but contrast enhancing means it took up the radiocontrast media. A lesion is only something you see on the xray. It may be the nodule but does not refer to size. Ask your doc for more info.

mri - there is a small enhancing nodule upper left quadrant inferior to the spleen, most likely a splenule". i understand a splenule is harmless.....however it seems to be a guess. the spleen is next to the pancreas, do i need to more evaluation?

: I would ask for a reading by another MRI radiologist and/or your own Dr.

Why was it done in the first place would be a big help. The spleen is in a separate part of the belly and separated from the pancreas. The spleen can move around a lot the pancreas does not move.

i have a growing presacral nodule that is nonhypermetabolic. radiologist recommends mri. how could an mri help diagnosis the nodule? any rec on f/u plans?

More information...: Nonhypermetabolic is usually a good thing.  Hypermetabolic is nonspecific ; could be infection, inflammation, or tumor.  The nodule can be a lymph node or something else.  Ct, pet, and MRI all provide complimentary info.  Mri with contrast can show enhancement patterns which can help characterize the nodule.  If it is growing it should be watched closely.  Biopsy could tell what it is.

my mri read benign shotty lymph node nodules in both right and left groin, what does this mean?

Don't Worry: Shotty lymph nodes mean slightly enlarged lymph nodes that have responded to a source of infection below the level of the nodes, usually in the legs. If they are tender, it means there is an active infection going on, which you should look for and treat. If you feel the lumps and they are not tender, it means that the infection has likely cleared up. It is not a source of worry.

3mm nodule on right upper lung no change mri 2008/2011.  can this just be an age thing  you know how some things grow on you as you get older.  ?

No, but: It's probably an old scar from and old infection.  I would probably recheck in a year, but if you're otherwise feeling well and have no new issues, no change in 3 years is a good thing.

Need MRI: Hepatic lesions are not too uncommon and triple phase MRI at times with evovist do a very good job in determining the exact etiology.

i had an endometriotic nodule on my ureter visualised in surgery for endometriosis but too complex to remove without a urologist. why has the nodule not shown up on an mri despite not being removed after surgery?

Endometriosis ?'s: Endometriosis "nodules" are best observed during direct visualization during surgery (usually laparoscopic surgery to prove endometriosis as cause for severe menstrual pain).  These "nodules" or implants will not generally show on MRI or CT scans if such tests are not done at the time of menstruation.  Best treatment is low dose oral bcps. Consult your gyn physician.

hello doctors i have a nodule on my left buttock near anus for past 3 months. mri was done nothing showed up all normal. its very painful when i press on it or when i sit down. its size of marble. it comes and go. what could this be? please help me?

: It is very strange that you had an MRI for a nodule which can be felt.. Best is to see a surgeon for exam and treatment as it could be one of many things- abscess, thrombosed hemorrhoid etc. Good luck.
