May need repeat chec: SPEP is a test looking for an abnormal protein in the blood. When present, it produces a separate peak than the one produced by the  normal proteins. The report you have sent is ambiguous!
So a second opinion or repeat test may help. Another(better test) is called Immunofixation test. You need to go see a Myeloma(a type of Bone  marrow Cancer) specialist to help you further.

MGUS or....: We all have poly(many)clonal immunoglobulins (ig's) such as iga, igg, igm, ige, IgD that help fight infection. Another name of ig's is antibodies. A mono(one)clonal population of ig's is mgus -- monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance -- or related to a more significant problem. Mgus actually be multiple myeloma or be related to another disorder (eg cll, nhl).

Plenty: Your physician has a duty tell tell you whether this is monoclonal gammopathy of uncertain significance (a non-problem that puts you at a slight extra risk for myeloma / waldenstrom's) or whether you actually have plasma cell myeloma / waldenstrome's (real diseases). There is no point in troubling yourself if it's the former.

Excess production can be benign or signify a plasma cell dyscrasia. Consult a hematologist if you haven't already.
