Many possibilities..: First, you should know that it's only mildly elevated, and a true diagnosis requires further testing and a more complete history and physical. But the differential diagnosis for "high serum globulin" is:  leukemia, lupus, collagen diseases, syphilis, waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia, liver disease, Rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, carcinoid syndrome, kidney disease, or chronic infection.

i had fatty liver over 11 mths elevated enzymes but are now normal for 9 mths us show no fat in liver my albumin is 3.5 does this mean liver is bad?

Congrats: Great job on reducing the fat on your liver.  I assume you lost weight to have this happen…. Your albumin is low normal, maybe you are too extreme with your dieting, but a better gauge of your nutritional status is a pre albumin blood test.  You may also have a lower albumin level due to a loss of protein in your kidneys,have your kidneys checked out too. What was your albumin level 11 months ago?

Not really worrisome: These lab values are not all that abnormal and really in most cases are not to worry about as they are.  It also depends on if you are having problems.  If you had these drawn you must of had an order from your healthcare professional and you should also check with them and see if there is a problem that they are concerned about. : I strongly suspect lab error. History of breast cancer has nothing to do with the albumin/globulin and low globulin, low volume will increase both A &amp; G, not albumin alone. You need to to have another fasting blood sugar and HbA1C at the same time for confirming or ruling out type 2 diabetes mellitus if you are not a diabetic. Please patiently wait for the results of repeat test(s). Take care.

i didn't drink much water for weeks. then, after hydrating for days, my calcium revealed to be 10.6 (range 8.3 - 10.3) and my albumin levels 5.5 (range 3.5 - 5.1). slightly elevated sodium too. everything else is normal. how concerned should i be?

: You are still not well hydrated. You should drink enough water every day so that your urine is mostly colorless. Your albumin and sodium levels suggest continuing dehydration. You may repeat the test after a month of sufficient water intake every day, including the morning of the test.
