i have what it seems to be dyshidrosis eczema. they only appear when hands are wet. how to treat this? very annoying.

Dyshidrotic Eczema: Dyshidrotic eczema is usually treated with class one prescription topical steroids such as vanos, or clobetasol, or clobex spray, or topicort spray or others. See your dermatologist for a prescription.

Which steroid?: You are likely to be disappointed with botox. Do you have psoriasis or dyshidrotic eczema or pustulosis palmaris?    You may respond to clobetasol gel rubbed in twice a day. Prednisone is very well tolerated if used in small doses never 2 days in a row. Sometimes people learn to take Prednisone when in exacerbation. Typical would be 10 or 20mg M-W-F for only a few doses.

: Yes, it may present on the plantar surface of the wrist. You should see a dermatologist or at least your family doctor for confirmation and treatment.

dyshidrosis always seems to occur on same spot, same finger in winter. i don't wear rings. middle finger, distal joint. skin cracks. why same spot?

Skin Sensitization: The skin has changed in those areas so that it is more sensitive to irritants and allergens.  Check with a dermatologist to get  suggestions for decreasing the sensitivity.

No: There are multiple treatments for eczema but nothing is permanent. Steroid creams are helpful when you have a flare up.

Dyshidrotic Eczema: Topical corticosteroids are the mainstay of treatment. Usually we use class I steroids ( Clobetasol) and class II (fluocinonide 0.05%) or III steroids (triamcinolone 0.5%).
Ointments penetrate the skin better than creams. 
the choice of medication always depends on severity. 
there are other options for resistant cases including but not lemited to : UV light, Botulinum toxins, Immunosuppressants.

Dyshidrosis: Dyshidrosis, also known as dyshidrotic eczema or pompholyx, is a skin condition in which small, fluid-filled blisters (vesicles) occur on the palms of your hands or the soles of your feet, or both. Treatment is with prescription cortisone like vanos.

dyshidrotic eczema on hands: steroid cream + antibiotic ointment for infected blister. how long after applying these can i go to the bathroom/wash my hand(s) (only using non-infected hand)? and can i put gauze or gloves on at night after applying?

: The creams usually absorb within 30 minutes. Cotton glove may be used, no gauze recommended. Avoid immersion of hand in water.
