A member asked:

Any thoughts on treating my dyshidrosis with botulinum toxin injections? my hands are chronic and my feet are tolerable. corticosteroid is useless.

Which steroid?: You are likely to be disappointed with botox. Do you have psoriasis or dyshidrotic eczema or pustulosis palmaris? You may respond to clobetasol gel rubbed in twice a day. Prednisone is very well tolerated if used in small doses never 2 days in a row. Sometimes people learn to take Prednisone when in exacerbation. Typical would be 10 or 20mg M-W-F for only a few doses.
