Kind of...: The absolute best way to make milk is to breastfeed exclusively! As a doctor AND a mom, I can tell you that breastfeeding is supply and demand. Some days you will feel like you breastfeed nonstop, then others it will be sporadic.  Lots of fluids will help keep you hydrated to allow your body to keep producing, so water is a must! Drinking milk will not help you make more milk, breastfeeding will!

Common problem: Very often babies do that! It is much easier to get milk from bottle than having to work (suck) to get milk. We recommend feeding  from breast first for about 15 minutes  from each side; then offer bottle. If the baby is still hungry he or she will take more milk from bottle. It is a good idea to feed from breast for a few days.

I hope you discussed: the benefits vs. risks of your progesterone &amp; anti-prolactin medications with both your OB &amp; your Pediatrician. Apparently, one shouldn't use dandelion tea as a diuretic for more than 3-4 weeks, nor take it with a prescribed diuretic. Since there are no studies on the " dose" of the tea, I can't tell you what %age crosses into breastmilk or how safe it is.

: If you are peeing more than every 4 hours your fluid load is excessive. There is fluid content in many foods you consume and that plus fluids equals your fluid load. Your breastmilk is made continuously and not an immediate pass through. Your intake seems excessive.

Lactation consultant: One of the most common problems in breastfeeding moms is that the baby doesn't latch onto the breast properly. This may be due to inverted or flat nipples or weak suck reflex. A lactation consultant can diagnose the underlying problem and develop a plan to help. Remember that in the first few days, the breast will be producing colostrum and not copious milk, so keep trying -this is very important

expand his diet: Avoid certain foods like eggs and sea food, and stay away from foods that are hard to chew and can cause choking. I was not sure if he is being breast fed or also takes formula, breast feeding is best, of course.
