It will not: Effective treatment of your acne will prevent additional scarring. If you wish, a dermatologist can make scars less visible using a laser, microsurgery, injections and/or dermabrasion.

No: Neither will touch actual depressed scars, not can anything else. At best, you can hide your hyperpigmented lesions and even this is likely not to be very successful. Get your active disease under control, and if you wish, get seen by a dermatologist or plastic surgeon who can deal with the scars using a filler, laser or microsurgery.

What kind of mark?: Hyperpigmented marks can be treated with hydroquinone -- be sparing -- but real indented scars won't respond and can be treated when you're ready with fillers, microsurgery or laser work.

Both products: can lead to drier skin, so I recommend you stop using tretinoin a few days prior and after a glycolic peel. But acne scars are best treated with stronger retinoids like Tazarotene and lasers. Hope that helps

: Get the best possible care for your face from a dermatologist. If you're not satisfied, consult one with a special interest &amp; experience with acne, if necessary at a department of dermatology at a university hospital near you.

: Acne is a stubborn condition and can be difficult to treat.  Benzoyl peroxide is a good initial treatment and can be used in combination with salicylic acid.  Best recommendation is to work with your primary care physician or your dermatologist and change medication in a stepwise fashion.  Tretinoin is helpful for cystic, scarring acne and may be an option for you.

See below: Retin-a mirco does not treat acne scarring. It can help prevent new acne scars by preventing  serious breakout as part of an acne treatment regimen. Some patients (especially those with darker skin tones) can develop dark spots from acne lesions. These are not actually scars and Retin-A can help improve them over the course of many months.

How patient r u?: if you can be patient, the scars usually get dramatically better with time. if you are eager to have a small improvement sooner, the peel might help. the doxy orally can help if you still have inflammatory acne. the tretinoin can help reduce scarring &amp; can be irritating, so be careful &amp; don't overuse.

Various: Peels can work over time. Fractional co2 ablation can do wonders  to get rid of this scars. Microdermabrasion can help in less severe cases. Very severe cases require surgery oftentimes

No: As you have experienced, retin a (tretinoin) van provide many benefits. Unfortunately scar eradication is not one of those benefits. Laser treatments or excision and grafting (depending upon the issue) might be helpful.
