No: Acupuncture needles are normally sterile, single use and disposable. If you reuse- they will not longer be sterile.

Hepatitis : Hepatitis c is a viral infection that is primarily spread through body fluids. You can get it from any activity that exchanges body fluids, including tattooing and sexual intercourse.  If you never--even once--use an IV needle that has been used by someone else, and if the drugs you are injecting have never--even once--been mixed in a syringe or elsewhere with drugs being used by someone else, then your IV drug use will not give you hepatitis c. Those a very big "ifs, " and ones over which you may not have full control.

could it be that pathological a laboratory may accidentally reuse the disposable needle in india?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely.: Disposable means just that - dispose after one-time use. So if they are re-using it, they are putting all patients and staff at risk for infection but also potentially breakage of the needle while in someone.

are nurses allowed to have fake nails while drawing blood? she didn't wear gloves, are there any chances she also reused the needle. very sketchy.

No issue, but...: All blood sticks should be carried out with gloves for mutual protection.  Fake nails are not the issue. As far as needle reuse, this would be malpractice of the highest order. I would complain.  I doubt the needle would be reused.  That would be stupidity of the highest order!

can i get hiv from getting tatto i saw the tatto artist open new needle in front of me every time but am not sure if she uses new ink cup i saw her pouring the ink ? what are the chances of getting hiv if the ink cups are re used ?

: No risk for HIV as long needles are clean, HIV is not transmitted through inanimate surfaces (ink cups). All other risks for superficial infections and non infectious inflammation remain the same. Check cdc.gov for reliable information regarding HIV transmission.

could the lady that pulled my blood reused a needle? i got blood drawn and after i seen spots of blood in the needle holder. i'm scared.

NO,they NEVER: reuse a needle. The blood you saw was your own blood dripping backwards from vacuum in  tube and when they remove it,suction may make blood flow back.

: Repeat question, I believe. If so, see previous replies. This is one of those theoretical risks for HIV commonly listed on websites and elsewhere as possible ways to be infected, but in fact in the 40+ years of the worldwide HIV/AIDS epidemic, there have been very few if any HIV infections acquired in this manner. Use common sense if you encounter such objects, but otherwise do not worry at all.

: Healthcare professionals haven't reused needles in direct patient care for decades. They are relatively cheep and there are  Federal rules against the practice. I consider the  idea a bit unreasonable.

i went for covid vacine today.so nurse clean my skin with cotton which was not sterile and then injected me.can you get hiv if cotton was reused which contained fresh blood.so i m concernd if needle puncture in skin can cause hiv to go inside my body?

: Where did you go to have your vaccine?  It is unlikely that cotton was not sterile.  Was antiseptic-type solution applied with the cotton.  The scenario that you have described is not very likely.  Did you comment or express any concern regarding what occurred.

i got vaccine from govt hospital in india so there are pre filled vaccine so nurse while opening cap needle also got out she put it back in and injected me . i was anxious so i confront her she said no reuse of injection don't wory . any risk of hiv?

: Unless the needle/syringe was used in a previous patient with HIV there is no risk for HIV transmission in these circumstances. CDC.gov is a reliable site in clarifying HIV transmission.
