I got my blood drawn and when I turned to see the lady pull the needle out there was red spots that looked like blood im scared it was a used needle

Had blood drawn today. Nurse took out Needle and pressed gauze for 3 seconds. Then bandaid over gauze. Came home and saw a 5 cent size blood spot on gauze. I know i clot because I just had a cut that clotted almost instantly.Why did this happen?
