No risk for HIV as long needles are clean, HIV is not transmitted through inanimate surfaces (ink cups). All other risks for superficial infections and non infectious inflammation remain the same. Check cdc.gov for reliable information regarding HIV transmission.

Just asking for education purposes for myself and others. As tattoo needles are not hollow, and are exposed to air at the end and middle. And pushes in ink rather than pulling blood. Does HIV die out on the needles after a couple minutes as well?
