A member asked:

Aside from reuse of syringes and needles used to inject into ones bloodstream. are sharp objects such as blades and nails, considered to be risks of transmission of hiv when there is blood and a deep cut?

Repeat question, I believe. If so, see previous replies. This is one of those theoretical risks for HIV commonly listed on websites and elsewhere as possible ways to be infected, but in fact in the 40+ years of the worldwide HIV/AIDS epidemic, there have been very few if any HIV infections acquired in this manner. Use common sense if you encounter such objects, but otherwise do not worry at all.
