HIV: Not likely to be responsible for a boil in your vaginal area.  If you think you may have been exposed to hiv, however, you should go and be tested.  If this "boil" keeps on coming back have an ob/gyn doctor examine you.  This may be a Bartholin's cyst, or similar issue.

Other causes...: The rapid HIV test should be positive if you are HIV-infected if the test was done at least 3 months after your HIV exposure. You can have the test repeated 6 months after exposure to be most certain.

There are other infections that can cause lymph node enlargement in the neck or head; many are viral and will resolve on their own. One common treatable cause is a fungal infection of the scalp.

: HIV transmission is uncommon with shaving because HIV is easily killed when exposed; however, hepatitis B and C transmission is more common because hepatitis viruses last very long on the surface, e.g. the blade, and they can not be eradicated with common disinfectants. You should avoid salon shaving or you should be shaved with your own blade only. I doubt if you could contract HIV that way.

: Where did you go to have your vaccine?  It is unlikely that cotton was not sterile.  Was antiseptic-type solution applied with the cotton.  The scenario that you have described is not very likely.  Did you comment or express any concern regarding what occurred.

Get gold bond lotion hand sanituzer as it doesn't have alcohol for work.
