HIV transmission is uncommon with shaving because HIV is easily killed when exposed; however, hepatitis B and C transmission is more common because hepatitis viruses last very long on the surface, e.g. the blade, and they can not be eradicated with common disinfectants. You should avoid salon shaving or you should be shaved with your own blade only. I doubt if you could contract HIV that way.
