Typically not: But it can.  If they become eroded, both pain and bleeding can occur.  These can be malignant, so need to be biopsies and excised.

hi doctors i have an 17 month old baby who fell in the bathroom with my helper and hurt her mouth her mouth is still bleeding since 17:00 and has not stopped what should i do because i've tried giving her ice to suck on?

Sutures needed?: It depends on where the cut is. If the laceration is on the inside of the mouth, it will usually not require sutures to close. If the laceration is on the lip or on the face near the lip, you will need to see a Dr for stitches to be placed to close the wound. Ice will reduce the swelling, but will not stop the bleeding. If the wound is large enough only closure will stop the bleeding.

my puppy had something in its mouth i grabbed it it was a dead bat i'm outdated for a tetanus shot i didn't bleed but it hurt when it poked me ?

Wash well &amp; see Dr.: After an animal bite, the area should be washed well to get the animal germs out. If there is a laceration or a puncture wound, prescription antibiotics may be needed, as well as a tetanus booster. If bitten or injured by a raccoon, skunk, fox, coyote, bat, or any salivating/drooling strangely acting animal, rabies is a possibility (one should see a doctor within a day or so).

i have sores all over my mouth, but mostly on my inner upper and lower lip. they look a lot like koplik's spots, ie small white sores in large clusters surrounded by red. (i can provide a picture.) my mouth hurts and gums bleed. what's going on?

2 problems: Sores and bleeding gums. Sores may be from hermetic infection, canker sores, or other lesions. Bleeding gums probably due to bacterial infection. Please, you need to see a Dentist for proper diagnosis and treatment. Probably can't fix both problems with just a pill, poultice, or mouth rinse. You will need hands-on dental care.

Gingivitis: Sounds like a case of gingivits.  If it has been a long time since your last cleaning, tartar can build up and irritate the gums making them painful and bleed easily.  Time to give the dentist a call.

the septum in my nose is bright red and painful. no trauma, bleeding or sores to the area. my face hurts, skin is dry as well as eyes and mouth. what can i do to make the pain and redness go away?

Dry skin: Are you talking about the skin IN the nose or on the outside between the nostrils as well as skin on the face? I would recommend trying vaseline or Eucerin Aquaphor for the dry skin.

Inflammation: The pain is probably due to inflammation in that area... Could be from periodontal problems, could be from a cold sore, could be from a burn. Can't tell over the internet. You may also have calculus buildup which needs to be removed. Please see a local dentist for a definitive DX and treatment.

Pain Constantly: It sounds to me like you should see a dentist as soon as possible. Bleeding gums and constant pain are not a good sign. I would suggest some Ibuprofen or tylenol (acetaminophen) for temporary relief, however, the pain and bleeding gums could be something more serious. Imagine if your hands were bleeding when you washed them. You would see a doctor right away. It is the same thing when your gums bleed.
