: At this stage there is no clinical reason why you should not persist with this habit. I suggest beng judicious and not apeearing for treatment while under the influence of the drug.

Complex: The root canal treatment is probably now recontaminated and usually will need to be 'retreated'. However, if this loosening has occurred, then it may be that there is not enough solid tooth to support the crown and biting forces. Might not be a good idea to fix this, but rather extract it and have an implant placed with a crown after 3 - 4 months. See prosthodontist for options. Good luck.

Tooth Covering: A crown, also referred to as a cap, is a covering that is placed over a tooth. Crowns are placed to protect a tooth from failure, such as breaking, or to replace parts of a missing tooth. A crown is permanently cemented to the tooth. If the crown falls off it can easily be recemented by a dentist.

A few thoughts..: The bite may be high, there may be a recurrent infection, there may even be a fracture. So hard to tell over the internet, sight unseen. Call your dentist for an appointment to be evaluated.

Yes: after the root canal treatment is finished, it is recommended that a buil up and a crown be placed on the treated tooth. This is not necessarily done at the same appointment.

Possible fracture: Teeth that have had root canal therapy are more brittle than vital teeth. A crown helps protect the tooth and restores lost structure that a filling can't.

Yes & no: The dentist is finished, but you need to floss and brush properly every day to protect it and keep other teeth from needing similar treatment. Have your dentist or hygienist give you specific help in preventing further problems. Today decay can be almost 100% prevented.

Asymptomatic : When the tooth is asymptomatic.  Your dentist will proceed to seat your crown.  Waiting too long can lead to tooth loss, so remember to complete your crown within 2 months, unless there are unusual circumstances which cause your dentist to wait.

Yes: You should get a permanent crown on soon after the root canal to try  to protect and preserve the tooth. The temporary crown for long term use and is not as snug fitting and is not designed for long term use.Crown.

Porcelain crown: It's possible that the bite needs to be adjusted on the porcelain crown.
Call your dentist for an appointment to have the crown and the bite checked.
