how do you support and build your stamina, i'm a ice hockey goaltender?

Stamina: Interval aerobic training with incremental increases in time and intensity is the best way to build endurance along with weight training to fatigue muscles with little rest between sets. If you have not been working out start slow but progress each week and keep monitoring your routine to make sure you in your target zone when moving. Best wishes.

i twisted my foot earlier playing ice hockey, could it be possible that i have a sprained foot?

It is possible: Try icing the foot, resting it a bit and take an over-the-counter antiinflammatory such as advil/motrin/ibuprofen or aleve (naproxen).  If there is bruising, swelling and significant pain it is best to have it checked out.

Fantastic!: I think she's awesome! does she need a teammate? Seriously, ice hockey is an amazing high metabolism high cardiovascular sport that is overall relatively safe. With proper equipment, hockey players have less catastrophic injuries per player than most other sports. I can't think of anything not to like!

Just do it!: Encourage stretching, aerobics and strength training to help prepare you for ice hockey.

i went into the boards while playing hockey. i have really bad pain in my hip do you now what i should do? it has gone away because of ice and meds

Exam needed: It would be best to have a DR's exam.
XRAY may also be necessary to fully evaluate and get a DX.
Cont with the intermittent ice and moist heat till then.

how much intensity of exercise is too much when pregnant? when should i have to quit playing ice hockey? (oh and i am not the goalie)

Avoid risk: While you shouldn't lock yourself in a closet until you deliver, is playing hockey that important that you would risk either falling or being hit? Seems an unnecessary risk for your baby - i would find other areas to exercise in that are safer.

Good idea: In some sports helmets are not currently mandatory
unfortunately with the increasing concussion problem i believe that sports such as hockey, lacrosse and soccer should require them to prevent head injuries.

i play varsity ice hockey and suffered a trauma to the hip and coccyx half a year ago. i am still in pain but have been playing. what would help?

Accepted Answer

Joint damage: Possible injuries include joint damage to the inside of the hip or even the ligaments that connect the hip to the coccyx and possibly even an occult  fracture of the coccyx. X-rays and possibly MRI could be used to help diagnose these.

my wrist hurts every time its cold or rains, and sometimes randomly.   i injured it a couple years ago playing ice hockey and has randomly hurt since?

Could be structural: You may have a problem with the tendons and/or ligaments of your wrist. Please see an orthopedic hand/wrist specialist, to get the proper care.
