do suppositories work just as good as a cream for outside hemorrhoids?

External vs internal: Creams are better for true external hemorrhoids, however internal hemorrhoids may prolapse to outside but are true internal hemorrhoids. In the latter case best to attempt to gently reduce the hemorrhoids to their internal position using cream as lubricant and then use suppository or foam/ cream internally. Finally fix the problem: constipation by increasing fluids/fiber and decreasing caffeine.

In a way: Some Doctors may prescribe steroids by mouth to decrease swelling and inflammation, but they are by no means as beneficial as the Suppositories for their desired effect.  Best wishes.

Sitz baths: Best home remedy is sitz baths with hot water .  Twice a day is better if you have the time.

: Yes as long you do it gently and well lubricated so as not to disturb a clot,. You should seek treatment for bleeding hemorrhoids.

: Hemorrhoid tear is probably covered with mucosal cells otherwise it would bleed. absorption if any would be clinically insignificant

could i take 0.25 mg propranolol and preparation h suppositories together  ?what could i do for caring  hemorrhoid symptoms while taking propranolol.

Propanalol and : preparation H have no interaction and are safe to co-administer so long as you are taking the prescribed dose of propranalol, and are actually certain you have a hemorrhoid.  Over 40 you should see your Primary and have a rectal exam and if you haven't had already, a screening colonoscopy.

Yes, for sure: If they are mild to moderate there are otc creams - ask a good pharmacist for recommendations. If severe, see your doctor for advice and in extreme cases some do minor surgery if necessary. Hope your are mild. Feel better soon!

It should be safe.: there should be no interaction with medications.  If your symptoms get worse you should see your doctor.

for a month now i've had a very itchy hemorrhoid. i can't go a day w/out a suppository and creams/wipes. can't afford dr - no pain but not going away?

Stool softner: If the only problem is itching and you know it is a hemorrhoid then stool softeners can help decrease the irratation of bowel movements which will decrease the inflammation.  However other things can cause rectal itching, such as worms.  If hemorrhoid meds &amp; stool softener does not decrease it you might want to be checked.  If blood, drainage need exam.

hemorrhoid since thursday, i forgot to apply cream & suppository today walked 3 miles and now noticed blood when i wiped little bit of blood everytime?

Unrelated: To walking, keep doing it, though, and continue applying the cream and suppositories, avoid constipation, lots of fiber in diet, if all this doesn&#x27;t work, see your doctor, good luck
