Healthy: Avoid fried fatty greasy foods. Avoid all alcohol drinking. Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, ? Motrin, advil, aleve, (naproxen) etc. Eat healthy foods & plenty of non-alcohol liquids to drink.

Gastritis: It is better to have small frequent meals rather than go through extended periods of time without food. You may want to try an over the counter antacid, such as zantac (ranitidine) or pepcid, avoid alcohol and if the symptoms persist, see your doctor.

Yes: you can get a colon prep if you have an ulcer or gastritis. As long as you are not vomiting or nauseous you should be ok to tolerate the prep. Otherwise you may not be able to hold down the liquids.

: Stones are more common in hot places.  Be certain you are drinking enough water for where you live. Discuss with your local Dr. Some stomach ulcer med contains tons of salt and will raise BP if you are salt sensitive. Get the DASH diet and use it for 2 weeks to see if BP improves. Heat usually lowers BP.

Tramadol: is a pain reliever that has been used as an alternative to opioids. It has no interaction with omeprazol.  Tramadol can cause nausea, constipation but it does not cause severe gastrointestinal problems as NSAIDs can.  The benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. If concerned ask your PCP for more information.

: It is not absolutely contraindicated if the gastric ulcer is under control with med or it already healed. However, if stomach upset recurs, this appetite stimulant should be stopped.
