i want to know if i should be worried. my left thigh is numb, left foot hurts, eyes twitching, ect. someone said i should be tested for diabetes?

Neuropathy is a: nerve condition that often accompanies diabetes or chemotherapy.  There are times when the origin of it is never really determines.  Please see your doc.  Twitching can simply be the result of low magnesium.  After your doc rules out medical conditions you may want to supplement.  Jigsaw magnesium is a good brand.  Peace and good health.

Toe numbness: Most likely the compression of the nerve to your toe which travels in that area - most often this is from constrictive footwear. Wearing open shoes, sandals, flip flops is a good way to test and see.

Eye doctor: Visit your eye doctor for assessment of glaucoma, cataracts and retina problems. People with diabetes should visit an eye doctor once a year.

No: This is not a typical sign of diabetes.  Yellow eyes could point to liver disease.  See your doctor for an evaluation if you have this.

Diabetic neuropathy: Hi. The most likely cause of loss of feeling in your toes is diabetic peripheral neuropathy, where peripheral sensory nerves are damaged due to chronic high blood sugar. It can increase your risk of a foot sore that leads to infection. Keep a close eye on your feet and wear comfortable shoes. Try to optimize diabetes control. See a podiatrist at the first sign of a foot sore. Good luck!

Yes: Dm both types can cause peripheral neuropathy as well as peripheral vascular disease causing narrowing of vessels. Hence get examined by your doctor for intact peripheral pulsations, intact foot sensations and have annual foot examas without fail, if peripheral vascular disease is suspected you may need a doppler scan for arteris of legs .Your doc. Will decide based on exaamination findings.

Neuropathy: Besides  diabetes, other causes of peripheral neuropathy include vitamin B12 deficiency, alcohol excess, certain medications and toxic substances. A neurologist can evaluate you for diagnosis. Appropriate testing will be done.

See your MD: The only way to really know if your symptoms are related to diabetes is to make an appointment with your doctor, who will evaluate you and run the appropriate tests, such as a fasting blood glucose level, hemoglobin a1c, an perhaps a glucose tolerance test. You should also have your eyes examined to understand where your visual symptoms arise from. Hopefully this helps.

: Varicose veins. Blocked arteries to that area. Especially if you have been a smoker. Show to Drs. If black might be gangrene.  But I dont know about kinda black. Cold and blue?

: If you are sweating a lot with sun exposure and you do not drink enough, you may feel thirsty because of dehydration but this condition is uncommon in American daily life because water is plenty. If dry mouth is the main symptom of your thirstiness, then along with dry eyes and your age + gender, sicca syndrome should be ruled out. Good luck.
