Eye doctor: Visit your eye doctor for assessment of glaucoma, cataracts and retina problems. People with diabetes should visit an eye doctor once a year.

Eye strain?: Do you mean your eyes get tired or start to hurt? If you are a diabetic i assume you get your yearly diabetic eye exam with your ophthalmologist. If your eyes have been ok and now are having pain it is a good reason to see the ophthalmologist again right away! if you get tired eyes you might need glasses or a change in glasses if you have them and you can see an optometrist.
