: The label applies to an area where blood flow is shared with inside the skull. Infection that 'might' enter the blood from that location could lead to meningitis or other brain infection. Failure to recognize and initiate treatment if this happened could lead to death. The cascade of events is not automatic but is possible.

: You're overreacting. "Triangle of death" is a pretty much meaningless and outdated phrase, rarely used these days. It's a good idea to not squeeze pimples on the face, but probably there is less than one chance in millions of a dangerous outcome if you do. (Most people ignore this advice at least some of the time and almost none ever get a serious problem. Don't lose sleep over this!)

: Never pop pimples and especially in the danger area of the face where sinus cavernous thrombosis in the brain can occur from spreading of infection. I recommend applying a tiny amount of isopropyl alcohol to the skin surrounding the pimple to kill any staph bacteria. If spreading redness around the pimple occurs get examined by a physician ASAP.

Other symptoms?: Keep it clean and put some bacitracin on it.  Then, if you have pain, spreading redness or warmth, or a fever, see your doc or go to the ER.  If you have no symptoms other than a slight soreness of the popped zit,if is no big deal.  Getting better acne treatment is MUCH better than getting pimples, especially if you cannot resist popping them, which can increase scarring. Acne is very treatable.

Ophthalmology Exam: Without seeing the lesion it would be difficult to recommend treatment, however, this could be a benign sebaceous cyst, granuloma, or malignant tumor. Only way to make the diagnosis is under the microscope with excisional biopsy. See your local oculoplastic surgeon for best results.

Don't worry: Have you been watching Dr Oz???  Anyways, don't worry.  The fact that it started bleeding probably reduces your risk of infection rather than increase it, because the blood "washes" bacteria away from the break in the nasal passage.  If your nostril starts to get sore or swell, turn red or any other sign of infection, then get on antibiotics right away.  Just watch for signs of infection.

OTC vs prescription: Several different options are available to treat acne. Many over-the-counter products are available. So are many prescription ones, too. Depending upon badly it bothers you, try the otc stuff first. If that's not enough, go see your family doc for prescription options.

Scientific Rx: If topical benzoyl peroxide as tolerated has not cleared you in two weeks, get with your personal physician. Acne can't be cured but will eventually remit on its own. Until then, you must manage it as a chronic illness.
