Depends: The National Institutes of Health considers 40 mg of zinc a day to be the upper limit dose for adults and 4 mg of zinc a day for infants under age 6 months, however, there are studies showing that long-term (&gt;60 days) supplementation of zinc can lower your copper levels but that's probably at high doses. If your dietary zinc intake is &lt;25 mg you should be fine.

OK,not best,unlikely: ZInc sulfate is an OK form of zinc to take but other forms are better absorbed, esp. zinc picolinate or orotate.
While high amounts of zinc can cause copper deficiency a dose of 10mg is unlikely to. However, to err on the side of caution consider a supplement that also has copper, in a ratio of 10-15 parts zinc to 1 part copper.

Zinc copper: I know of no evidence that that taking zinc helps anything other that to lighten your billfold. Avoid all supplements is my advice.  There is no regulation of what goes in them.

Totally fine: The recommended daily intake of zinc is 15 mg. It is perfectly safe to take this long-term without inducing copper deficiency. It is recommended one should have a ratio of zinc to copper of 8-12:1 which means one should be ingesting about 0.5 mg of copper to balance 5 mg of zinc. This is readily obtained via diet. Zinc deficiency is much more common than copper so this is quite reasonable.
