i have had cobblestoning on my throats and a small, somewhat translucent white spot on my tonsil for the last year. i have hpv 16 and have for a long ?

Probably unrelated: Presumably your HPV16 infection is genital, perhaps showing up on a pap smear, right? While it is possible your throat is also infected, HPV is not a likely cause of either "cobblestoning" of the throat or the white spot on one of your tonsils. The large majority of HPV infections, including HPV16, are eventually cleared by the immune system. Discuss all this with your doctor &amp;  follow her advice.

last year my doctor told me i had cobblestoning in my throat from allergies. but now a year later they haven't gone away?? no pain or irritation

Accepted Answer

Allergy still: If allergy was causing the cobblestoning, they will remain or worsen as long as the allergy remains (allergic rhinitis).  The is just a physical exam findings which may or may not be associated with symptoms. On the other hand, you may just have become used to the symptoms and not been aware of them.

toprol 25mg/day started 6/19.  systolic used to be "all over the place", but now generally between 133 and 148 averaging 140 but with occasional spikes up to 156.  should i tell the md now as opposed to next visit in 4 months?

Tell now: After 4 months your bp goal of 130/80 or less has not been reached. Unless you tend to have a fast heart rate, I don't regard beta blockers a good first line choice for bp treatment. If you have a tendency to rapid heart rates, the toprol dose can be increased for better bp control. Otherwise I feel more effective choices of medications can be made by your physician. : It sounds like the aggressive masturbation is causing skin irritation.  It would be best to avoid aggressive masturbation to allow the skin to heal naturally.

: What symptoms are described can be caused by endometriosis, a condition which causes pain, cramping and occasional nausea by scattering of endometrial cells into the abdomen, which bleed at the time of menstruation, causing the symptoms.  See your GYN physician and ask about low dose oral bcp's, recommended for treatment of endometriosis.

runny nose, cough, nasal congestion, bad breath (halitosis), face pain, throat 'burning' & 'tickle'. Treatment is may include antibiotics, decongestants, nasal irrigation (neti) , antihistamines, nasal steroids.
