Possibly in Cali : I understand that in california, dentists commonly inject Botox in addition tom numerous other cosmetic procedures. I do not know state regulations specifically with regards to dentists but it would seem that this would be in their practice scope particularly if treating tmj.

Perhaps, but: It makes more sense to find out what is the cause of  the pain and dyskinesia.  The most common cause for such pain is an unresolved infection draining from an unhealthy tooth. Dyskinesia can be a local factor related to the TM joint or a systemic factor, such as a stage 2 Lyme Disease manifestation like Parkinsons Disease or MS.

No. : Not even if it is injected there. Botox can cause minute bruises if a small blood vessel is inadvertently hit by the injecting needle, but these "bumps" go away as fast as your body absorbs the bruise! most lumps on the top of the head are pilar cysts.

Botox: Botox does inhibit sweating by blocking the acetylcholine receptors. It's effect will last for a few months before it needs to be repeated.  There are no pills that are as safe and specific that I am aware of. Other treatments include iontophoresis or antiperspirants such as drysol.  Botox treatment is not covered for the treatment of sweating by most insurance programs.

Paralysis : Botox paralyzes the muscles on the forehead and around eyes if it was injected there causing this feeling.  It could last up to 3 months. You should see your doctor for evaluation.

i've gotten botox shots for cervical dystonia , i can hold my head straight a lot better but i'm getting a lot of pain around my right shoulder ?

Common, need PT: Shoulder pain can be common after dystonia injections and pt normally should be done to strengthen supporting muscles that have not been used because of the tightness. I would ask my doc for a pt script to see if they can give you some relief. The side that is causing shoulder pain verse the side your chin was pulled before is an important point to tell your pt as well.

i get severe migraines. i take topamax to prevent them and botox in the head and neck as well to prevent it. i also take percocet and axert (almotriptan) for them. is it fine?

Migraine can be bad: Some people do get severe, frequent, prolonged, thus disabling migraines. It sounds you suffer this ailment. Topamax is good but does not work for everyone. There are other meds to prevent it. Botox can help if migraines  start from your neck area. Percocet is just a pain killer--could help any pain. Axert (almotriptan) is to abort the migraine, but only works for some. Reconsult doc. Good luck.

my mother is takin percocet and toradol injections for severe migraines until she gets these botox injections in her head. she is nauseated and not eating or drinking. what do i do ?

Botox takes 5 days: In the meantime there may be other medications such as Imitrex or Maxalt or zomig (zolmitriptan) that may offer more immediate relief. While Percocet may provide pain relief, it generally does not treat the cause of migraines and is habit forming.

i had botox 10 days ago for migraines. i have had severe neck pain when i bend my head forward since. it is horrible by the end of the day, and i am still having migraines. i have tried massage, nsaids, tylenol, toradol, ice, heat, flexeril. ?

Your fibromyalgia : You need to discuss with your Botox doctor. This may have nothing to do with Botox and could well be related to your no one fibromyalgia. You need to be evaluated
