Yes: Yes    I recommend the moisturizer &amp; soap on almost a daily basis in my office.

is cetaphil a good cream for children with eczema?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but...: But my personal favorite when dealing with eczema is cerave. Other creams that work well are eucerin and aquaphor.  Always use the cream nor the lotion (which typically contains alcohol).

diagnosed with perioral dermatitis. prescribed flucon cream mixed with cetaphil t.i.d. will it ever actually go away or am i stuck with it?

Perioral dermatitis : I would recommend oral antibiotics like doxycycline for perioral dermatitis.  The condition usuallly resolves with treatment.  Be aware of mouth irritants that could be causing the problem like new toothpaste, mouthwash, lipstick or foundation.

can i use cetaphil moisturizing cream on my scalp and hair? it's dry.

Not a good idea: Creams, ointments, and moisturizers that are formulated for the skin are not necessarily suitable for the scalp and hair. I would recommend something formulated specifically for the hair and scalp. I have found coconut based formulas work well and are safe.

my 13 month old baby's skin is very dry. what can i do for it. i already use atopia cream and cetaphil also. but there is no change on him?

Frequently: Use the moisturizer 3-4 times every day.Use otc cortisone on bad patches except the face. Give 1-2 weeks.If no improvement-call your pediatrician.

also, cetaphil has this new eczema soap and lotion...does it work well?

Eczema management: Atopic dermatitis is a skin condition characterized by dry, wrinkled, itchy and occasionally red skin.  Symptoms can be reduced with hypoallergenic cleansers and moisturizers such as Cetaphil, CeraVue, etc., and fragrance/dye free detergents.  Moisturizers in ointment form penetrate deeper.  Topical steroids are also helpful. Avoid eating foods that you are allergic to and stay well hydrated.

ECZEMA: Eczema is best diagnosed and treated by a Dermatologist who can examine and study your skin and prescribe the best treatment.

Depends.: Everyone's skin reacts a bit differently to various things that are applied to it. Both products are very good, in my experience - but you might prefer one over the other, depending on your individual preferences. The only way to find out is to try both. Some pharmacies keep "demonstrator" bottles of popular lotions on the counter, so that you can try before you buy.

i've used retina cream on penile head, skin got burned by now healed but having pih. will cetaphil cream helps to reduce pih? or any other cream?

Unclear...: Why did you use RetinA to glans penis - for whitening its discoloration which is common after exposed to estrogen through intercourse? Why are you trying to do with Cetaphile - skin cleanser, which is nothing to do with PIH (pregnancy-induced hypertension)? So, It is better off to ask your local doctors for specifics and relevance of care for your concerned issues. Best to your health...

i am using tretenoin cream at night with daily sulfur wash. do you know of a better (natural/less toxic) alternative to cetaphil/cerave's moisturizer?
