is it ok to eat that raisin bran crunch cereal if i have diverticulitis, it has oat clusters and regular oats in it as well.

It is fine: I don't think any foods cause diverticulitis. There is no evidence that seeds, nuts, etc can cause diverticulitis. By the time that stuff gets to your colon it is all the same consistency, so i tell my patients not to limit their diet if they have diverticulosis.

are frosted mini wheats and raisin bran healthy cold cereals i know oatmeal is best but it seems to cause digestion problems with my system?

Both are OK: Many people do not tolerate oatmeal due to the excessive gas forming properties that the psyllium in it has.

i just had a stomach virus for almost a week, but now my stomach is still hurting except im constipated. what do i do?is raisin bran cereal ok to eat?

Recovery phase: Most likely you are recovery from loss of a lot of important fluids and electrolytes in your system, if you had a stomach virus.
You need to increase fluids and make sure to get potassium and magnesium, which are lost with diarrhea and vomiting. Coconut water is a good source of fluids and electrolytes. If you don't start to feel better, call your doctor. Would avoid the bran until you drink more.

What's more, whole grains offer protection against other chronic conditions, including heart disease &amp; type 2 diabetes. (Ref: AARP, 5/2014)

Yes: Your 9month old baby  can take multigrain cereal in a small quantity ,see it is well mixed in water and thin in consistency .

Good question: The grain, e.g. Rice is just starch. Mother nature surrounded the grain with a cusp that contains the vitamins to metabolize the starch. That is why whole grain bread is nutritious while white bread provides only calories. In my view, even vitamin enrichment of white bread is not sufficient to meet demand.

THEY ARE GOOD BUT: It is not true that whole grain cereals are more in calories than non whole grain cereals.Actually for oz for oz whole grain have less calories than refined grains as it contains fibers which do not have any calories
peanuts on the other hand are good for you as all tree nuts are but these are high in calories and better be limited in quantity but as snacks they are better than chips.

i started my newborn on single grain gerber rice cereal 1x a day for 2 days now. she usually poops everyday once a day and she hasnt yet. what to do?

Plugged up: I use cereals to plug up a kid naturally after they develop diarrhea. Infants don't need cereals until 6 months, so I'm curious why a newborn would get them.That was the method 50 years ago but not today.Any time you alter babies diet it can effect their stool pattern.

i found i have a abrasion on the roof of my mouth. should i use a certain mouth wash. i also have a cold. i eat a lot of grain cereals.

Abrasion: Fortunately the mouth heals quickly.  Should get a little better every day.  Just keep your mouth spotlessly clean (brush/floss).  Important:  If it isn't all gone in 10-14 days, see your Dentist.

what should i eat to lower my cholesterol .it is 265 ..should i avoid grains &cereals like lentils, peas and rice? please help?

Cholesterol problems: Often stem from consumption of fatty foods as opposed to vegetables and grains.  Cut the fat first and increase your daily exercise to 20 to 30 minutes 4-5 times per week.   Re test  in 3-6 months to see how you are doing.
