Other Chemicals: Rarely needs to be quantified because if it is not alcohol, i suspect it is due to some other chemical or drugs that you are exposed to like Phenytoin and carbamazepine.

Many thngs: Can be gall bladder, liver or pancreatic problems.  With out further imaging or work up its hard to say what is the cause.

Liver enzymes: Sometimes this can be due to gallbladder problems/stones. It is common in women 20s-40s, especially if they are overweight. There is also fatty liver disease where your liver fails to process the dietary fats efficiently, common with obesity. Medication can be a cause, especially those metabolized by the liver. Infection and other inflammatory causes are possible. Your doctor can tell you more.

GGT: I have seen alcohol intake cause elevated GGT. I would abstain from alcoholic beverages for 2 weeks and repeat the test.

34m. high am cortisol (777 nmol/l), ufc (55mcg/day). low tt (~160 ng/dl) and low shbg (~10 nmol/l). i also have elevated liver enzymes (alt 74 and ggt 122) suggesting fatty liver (tg 2.55 mg/dl). could these all be related? likely causes?

: You say unknown etiology so NAFLD has been ruled out. You can take both losartan and amlodipine with abnormal liver enzymes. Make sure you are referred to a liver specialist for those abnormal results if you have not seen any specialist yet. Good luck.

: I consider the cited ALT numbers to be within the normal variation of lab studies on the same person taken days or weeks apart. They are low enough that I would not consider them any evidence of liver irritation/injury. Jump the levels in to the several hundred range and I would take note.

: ALT and GGT are more important in acute liver problem, not in chronic disease as in your case. You did not give info about AST and bilirubin results, especially bilirubin direct because you mentioned dark yellow urine. I wonder if you have been evaluated by a hepatologist and if liver biopsy has even been suggested. Med for TB can cause hepatitis but liver problem antedated pulm TB in your case.

GGT: s a very "sensitive" liver function test  and is usually the first to elevate (for example with heavy drinking of alcohol) LAXATIVES do NOT cause this but there are many OTHER drugs which can! You need to discuss with your PCP (Primary care Professional)
