Stress can cause: Persistent twitching of your eyelid can mean your nervous system is on high alert.  I've seen this in some of my patients experiencing anxiety & stress.  But, any irritation of the conjunctiva or cornea can cause the eyelids to twitch also.  And if it never calms down at all, it can be a sign of certain neurological problems.  See your own physician for a better review of your personal situation.

Blepherospasm: Botox can help calm that down.  See a doctor that gives Botox injections.  Sometimes it is from nerves such as a nervous tick.

Unfortunately : Unfortunately there is no easy answer, other than you need to reduce your stress.  Anxiety, stress, lack of sleep, sickness can all contribute to blepharospasm or the eyelid twitching.  Depending on the degree of stress, the symptoms can last anywhere from days to weeks.  The good news is that there is no permanent damage, the bad news, until you are able to manage your stress, your symptoms will likely persist.

Visual : Visual disturbance can arise in the eye, in the optic nerve, or in the visual cortex of the brain.  Sudden visual loss suggests a temporary loss of blood flow or abnormal electrical impulses (that is seizure-type activity).

The fact that you saw externally visible changes to the eye itself and now have problems around the eye makes it more likely that this is a local issue than a brain issue. That does not mean it should be ignored, though.

I  think you should go to the er and have your eye checked out.  A delay in doing so could potentially result in a permanent injury.

Benign myokymia : Usually caffeine, fatigue or stress. Trying to address those factors typically does the trick.  In a few persistent cases Botox can be used, but that's rare.

Muscle Twitching: Muscle twitching is caused by minor muscle contractions in the area. Causes include lack of nutrients in the diet, medication side effects, lack of sleep, too much caffeine/exercise/stress, medical conditions that cause metabolic disorders, including low potassium, kidney disease, and uremia. Calcium /Magnesium supplement may help. If symptoms continue see a DR.

Blepharitis: Most common and least dangerous cause for eyelid twitching is blepharitis, a blockage of the oil glands of the eyelids.  Usually best treated by scrubbing the edges of the eyelids with a cotton swab wet with hot water with a tiny dab of baby shampoo on the tip, followed by rinsing the closed eye with warm water.  To be sure, see an eye md.

Twitching!: Not sure what below the sternum means (this is the center of your chest).  Sounds like the eyelids are fluttering or "twitching", this is usually caused from stress or dry eyes.  Try artificial tears and something to decrease his stress.

hi, below my right eye keeps twitching and the eye itself feels like it's burning and i have a very strong headache on the right side of my head?

Dry eyes?: It sounds as if you may have dry eyes.  Dry eyes can certainly cause twitching and burning.  It may even cause headaches.  You can try OTC artificial tears 4x / day to see if that helps.  You should also probably see an eye MD for a complete eye evaluation.
