Visual : Visual disturbance can arise in the eye, in the optic nerve, or in the visual cortex of the brain. Sudden visual loss suggests a temporary loss of blood flow or abnormal electrical impulses (that is seizure-type activity). The fact that you saw externally visible changes to the eye itself and now have problems around the eye makes it more likely that this is a local issue than a brain issue. That does not mean it should be ignored, though. I think you should go to the er and have your eye checked out. A delay in doing so could potentially result in a permanent injury.
