Muscle Twitching: Muscle twitching is caused by minor muscle contractions in the area. Causes include lack of nutrients in the diet, medication side effects, lack of sleep, too much caffeine/exercise/stress, medical conditions that cause metabolic disorders, including low potassium, kidney disease, and uremia. Calcium /Magnesium supplement may help. If symptoms continue see a DR.

? myokymia: A flickering and twitching sensation just below the eye could be due to fatigue, eye strain, chemical imbalance, etc., and is universally benign (but annoying), and not the sign of an emerging disease.
