i am tan skinned but my palms are red in colour (cnt recall since when) i thought red palms meant a good blood flow, after some self online search, found that red palms can indicate an underlying health problem like liver problem? ps/ i have pcos?

No: Red palms IS palmar erythema. Red hands is not. What you describe may be true palmar erythema, or it may not. It is never due to diversion of blood flow away from the hands. Besides advanced liver disease, it can be due to local factors on the hands, thyroid disease, eczema, psoriasis, blood disorder [increase in red cells], pregnancy or increased estrogen, etc. Avoid alcohol.

which blood pressure meds are least likely to cause redness and a rash on the face? i am currently on hydralazine 25 mg, 1/2  the dose same reactions

Accepted Answer

Rash on face: yes hydralazine can cause a lupus like facial rash.  stop the medication and follow up with whichever physician started you on the medication=primary care physician or cardiologist.  There many other medications to control your blood pressure.

when taking blood pressure at home, should i keep my palms up or down? reading online it says palm up. when they're up i get a slightly lower reading.

Up: Best position for measuring a resting BP is in the seated position with palms up. Best to have been seated for a couple of minutes so that your BP has had time to re-equilibrate after ambulation. I prefer cuff pressures taken from forearm over wrist or finger measurements.

i am experiencing arm pain. from below the elbow to the palm. i am having a sensation similar to the one had when checking blood pressure with that tightness. i took aspirin ?

Arm pain: More details are needed. How long? How often does it occur? Do you have any difficulties with weakness, chest pain, neck pain, upper back pain, tingling numbness? Any general health problems? few general systems come to mind cardiovascular, neurological and muscular.

Accepted Answer

No: Most high blood pressure will not show up on the eye surface but may affect vessels in the back of the eye.  A red eye is due to some other surface cause like bleeding , infection, allergy, etc.

Seems to be : In moderation, one or two glasses a day, no more.

Doubtful: I don't know of any supported data which supports this claim..I'm sure their web site does.
